Managing Expectations by Peter Styles

AUTHOR’S BLURB: Sometimes what’s HOT isn’t what’s RIGHT.

Pop star manager, Wynn Tucker has it all. With a never-ending stream of parties and fun, a grandmother who thinks the world of him, and a famous best friend and lover, Wynn knows his life should be picture perfect. But things aren’t always as they seem. As a recovering alcoholic, the lifestyle at the mansion is hard to endure–not to mention that the man he loves is just too famous to proclaim his love for a man.

But when he encounters Michael, a loving and loyal gardener, Wynn finds himself torn between his best friend and the new man who’s stolen his heart. Suddenly, Michael must choose between what he’s always known and what he’s always wanted. Can he finally manage his own heart and future and let go of the past?

In this 50,000 word steamy gay novel, Managing Expectations, one man learns that love often results in a broken heart. But a little pain might be worth the journey to a newer, hotter garden of hope. With explicit content, you will embark upon a road of passion and need, begging for more.

MY REVIEW: Well-written and interesting. I like how Holden was made into a jerk, but a multi-faceted human jerk, so you didn’t hate him, you kind of understood him and his fears a little. Even if you didn’t like or agree with them or his actions. I would love to visit Wynn and Michael later on and see how they are doing, since this drops us at their beginning.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
